Information

In 1813, Joseph Noilly developed an original production method based on the natural ageing process of wine. The first dry French vermouth was born. The Noilly-Prat aperitif has been made in the same way since 1855. Stored in large oak barrels, the wine ages in the cool atmosphere of the storehouses then in thousands of barrels lined up in the open-air yard. A visit to the Maison Noilly Prat will tell you all about this adventure, the invention of an aperitif and the founding of the company. We then show you each step in the production process. However the most impressive part is unquestionably the open-air storage yard, the only one of its kind in the world.
