Les Poteries d’Albi welcome you to the last factory in France producing hand-thrown and hand-enamelled pottery. By awarding the company the “Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant” (Living Heritage Company) label, the state officially recognises the excellence and rarity of our skills.
Previously a brickworks in 1891, we have remained faithful to our expertise in clay and earthenware. Since 1962, Les Poteries d’Albi have been developing ranges of pottery for horticulture and the kitchen which combine tradition and current trends.
The craftsmen at Les Poteries d’Albi are the 6th generation of potters in ceramists in their family. Their workshops are to be found at the gates of the Episcopal City of Albi, the red brick town which is a UNESCO World Heritage site.
Driven by simple values such as authenticity, human capital, creation, courage, terroir and respect, preserving our skills and our local jobs is very dear to our hearts. We are also deeply committed to transmitting and sharing our passion for materials and colour.
The workshops of Les Poteries d’Albi innovate every year and renew almost 25% of the catalogue. Our inspiration comes from current trends in interior and exterior decoration.
