PALAIS BENEDICTINE

Built in the 19th century by Alexander the Great in honour of the liqueur, the Bénédictine Palace is a Gothic and Renaissance inspired edifice

A CULTURAL VISIT

Ancient art: in a flamboyant setting, an exceptional collection includes paintings, sculptures, ivories, alabasters, enamels and ironwork from the 12th to the 19th centuries, books of hours and illuminated manuscripts from the 15th and 16th centuries and the Fécamp abbey charters from the 12th and 13th centuries.

Contemporary art: temporary exhibitions of paintings or sculptures are held throughout the year in a 400 m2 exhibition area.

A FACTORY-PALACE

You will discover:

The only distillery in the world, still in operation, where Bénédictine liqueur is made. The infusions and distillations of spices are performed in large hammered copper stills dating from the 1860s.

The cellars: the various blends and alcoholate lie ageing in oak casks. No less than two years are necessary to make Bénédictine.

Alcohol abuse is harmful to health. Consume with moderation.
