The fourth generation of millers at the Partégal Vieux Moulin oil mill!

With 2 gold medals awarded at the General Agricultural Competition in Paris in 2014 and services which are certified QUALITÉ TOURISME, TM and his team invite you for a free guided tour of their unique site (1 hour 15 minutes) and just like wine experts test wine, you will learn to recognise the different flavours, aromas and odours of French oils as you take part in a free blind tasting. You will discover olive oils produced according to age-old methods (“cold-pressed” traditionally by hand using a grindstone) and those obtained using new technology (in accordance with “continuous chain” European standards), plus local products (vinegar, pistou, pesto, jams, etc.).

During your tour you will share our ancestors passion for this profession and their know-how.
You will be able to visit the grounds where you will find a Gallo-Roman aqueduct, a forged iron water wheel 8.50 m in diameter and inside the mill, the press, its grindstone, its wooden gears, the dressed stone chapels, augers and a “maie” (recipient placed under the press to recover the oil) discovered in June 1998 during excavations. You can also watch traditional oil production throughout November, except for Sundays.
You will be shown the labelling codes for the mill-produced oils and those from industry, and traceability will be explained.

Outside the tourist season you will be able to watch a film presenting the mill lasting around ten minutes followed by a free tasting of our oils and local produce. During the production season, watch how the olives are pressed traditionally using the grindstone during November every day from 10 am to 12 pm and 3 pm to 5 pm subject to the olive harvest.
The mill is air-conditioned.
