The Neuville oil mill at Neuville-de-Poitou is the last of 13 oil mills recorded at Neuville-de-Poitou at the start of the 20th century. It was founded in 1850.
During your tour you will see the hydraulic and electric mill equipped with a grindstone to crush the walnuts guaranteeing top quality, and hydraulic presses dating from 1920 which provide a pressure of almost 200 tonnes per cm².
Tradition rubs shoulders with modernity: the oil mill has a cutting-edge vat room for decanting and storing the oils under the best possible conditions. The product range includes hazelnut, almond, peanut and toasted rapeseed virgin oils, plus the company’s star product, walnut oil.
