Situated at the entrance to the site overlooking the four 1,300 MW production units, the power plant’s Public Information Centre was fully renovated in 2010. It offers residents and anyone wishing to know more about nuclear power an exhibition which is original, educational and accessible to visitors of all ages. Three tour guides are on hand to answer all your technical, environmental or safety-related questions. In 2015, over 2070 people visited the CIP!
Open Monday to Friday from 8.30 am to 12.30 pm and 1.30 pm to 5.30 pm and on Sundays from 2 pm to 6 pm in July and August. Free entry.
For groups (minimum 5 people / maximum 50 people): possibility of a talk before the guided tour of the exhibition, subject to prior booking 48 hours in advance.
Length of the visit: 2 hours.
Tours of the industrial facilities:
– For school parties: possibility of a talk and tour of the facilities (machines room). Booking required 2 weeks in advance (4 weeks for foreign visitors). Valid means of identification required.
– For the general public: talk, bus tour around the facilities. Booking required 48 hours in advance.
– Occasionally during the year, tours of the machines rooms may be offered to the general public during exceptional events such as the Journées de l’industrie électrique ( EDF Electricity Industry Days).
