Situated just a stone’s throw from the power plant, this information centre opened its doors for the first time in July 2015. Dedicated to the hydroelectric structures in the Aspe valley and around Oloron, it provides fun, educational information about hydroelectric power, which is very strong in the Pyrénées.
Where does the water come from? How do the hydraulics engineers generate electricity? How is protecting the fauna and flora part of their daily lives? What is the history of this energy in the Valley? All these questions and more will be answered when you visit the centre.
